I can see Oda giving Greenbull a Blackblade as a way to justify Zoro vs Greenbull
I'm fine with Zoro vs Fujitora or Zoro vs Greenbull either way tbh. I just need Zoro to have a good fight with a top tier. Natsujuro and Mihawk are basically a lock for Zoro's future opponents so an Admiral is like a bonus.

That's very unlikely imo.
There's no way that antagonists that have been built up since the very beginning of the series get discarded like that or become victim to side characters. Doubt they'd be final antagonists but they will most certainly face off against the SHs in some capacity imo.
They only question is when. Akainu was in the PK race spread for a reason, so reckon he'd be playing a part in the race for the one piece in some capacity.
Can see the WG mobilizing the full force of the Admirals, Akainu included in an attempt to stop the SHs from reaching Laugh Tale.
Maybe even post SHs v BB Pirates to take the SHs out when they are vulnerable.
Depending on the direction of Elbaf, the SHs invading Marijoea with the painter is a possibility, so we could also potentially get a battle btw the Admirals and the SHs on Marijoea akin to what we got when the Revos invaded. There's a lot of possibilities.
Akainu v Luffy is written in the stars imo
Though I'm not exactly sure how the matchups will play out btw Zoro and Sanji and the Admirals

If I were a betting man though I'd say:
Zoro v Fuji (rematch)
Sanji v Greenbull
Reckon we could see Smoker v Aokiji or Smoker & Coby Aokiji are some point but Coby ain't beating Aokiji solo

Conversation around how Oda handles the Admirals is interesting though. Coz even if we assumed that the SHs allies would be matched up against them, the numbers don’t really add up as there are two many top tiers.
Only SH allies imo that really have a chance at beating the Admirals are Dragon, Sabo, Law potentially (with a bit more growth), Smoker (hopefully
) and Loki. Yamato potentially as well but doubt her escapades on Wano are gonna put her on that level
So that’s like 3 top tier allies with two with high potential and if we add Zoro & Sanji to that, that’s 7 + Shanks if he’s still alive by then, so 8? but there’s still the 5 Gorosei & Shamrock + 4 admirals (making a total of 10 WG top tiers with the exception of Imu) so the numbers don’t really add up. So reckon Oda has to thin out the top tiers on the WG side a bit before the final battle.

Well, the point of the timeskip was to train until the crew can defeat Kuma, which only Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are capable of doing (this was around the saboady arc). Luffy still struggles somehow to defeat an admiral. Let’s just say Zoro or Sanji becomes the logia user the crew needs. Then, we would have a perfect matchup for any of the remaining admirals.
