Thought about it, decided to change my mind on zoro's role in the end of wano

Wano was heavily foreshadowed by thriller bark.
  • G5's buff form looks just like nightmare luffy
  • Kaido is similar in appearance to oars
  • the numbers are the same species as oars
  • Linlin's powers work just like moria's
  • sanji fought an invisible man
In thriller bark, zoro had 3 main fights.
  1. 1v1 against ryuma
  2. group fight with oars
  3. 1v1 with Kuma
In wano, Zoro has only had 2 major fights so far
  1. 1v1 with King
  2. group fight with Kaido
I believe that the king fight and the kaido fight are supposed to parallel the ryuma and oars fight respectively. Zoro vs King was a huge reference to ryuma with the final clash being zoro cutting a giant flame dragon, a homage to Ryuma's legend of slaying a dragon. The rooftop fight was a parallel to the group fight with Oars. Ultimately that fight boiled down to Luffy vs Moria, just like how kaido's fight eventually just became Luffy vs Kaido.
But that being said, could TB's formula not hint at a third zoro fight? A fight with a character who is kind of an outsider to the arc who appears at the very end when everyone else is utterly exhausted and incapable of fighting? I think so and I think this character is specifically going to be Green Bull.

I theorize that Green Bull will be the leader of the SSG. I think he will be a cyborg, just as Kuma was, but far stronger. Furthermore, I think similar to how Kuma had ties to Luffy's father, Green Bull will have ties to Zoro's. Specifically, I think that Green Bull either is Shimotsuki Ushimaru or is related to him.
Ushimaru had a coat with a green bull on it(in the anime at least) and in the yamato flashback, he talked about how samurai don't get hungry(which parallels to green bull not eating).
I think that unbeknownst to kaido, CP0 might have saved Ushimaru and revived him as some sort of weapon for the WG.

Anyways Zoro vs Ushimaru/Green Bull will be the culmination of several plotlines.
  • it will reveal what zoro's lineage is
  • it will have zoro defend wano against invaders, just like ryuma did
  • Zoro will hence become the hero of wano, just like ryuma
I think similar to kuma, Zoro will give ushimaru a tough fight, which will cause ushimaru to simply arrest the beast pirates and leave wano.

Lastly, I want to talk about how Zoro is going to revive himself. Similar to how Luffy was able to revive himself via awakening, I think zoro will have a similar power. That being asura. Asura is a power that has mostly revealed itself when zoro was in an extremely tough situation.
  • against kaku, zoro was about to lose before he used asura
  • against the pacifista, zoro was heavily injured due to the damage he took from kuma in TB
  • against kaido, zoro's bones were broken from hakai
I think similar to how Luffy is a sun god, zoro is also some sort of supernatural entity. Which is why the reaper visited him when he was nearly dying. We've seen characters die before and they've never seen a reaper. WB sure as hell didn't. I think that similar to asura, the reaper is another manifestation of zoro's true form. If Asura is supposed to represent the asura realm in the samsara wheel, I think the reaper would either represent the hungry ghost or the naraka(hell) realm.

Similar to how we got demon asura: asura, I think zoro's next power up will be demon aura: naraka, where zoro becomes a literal demon from hell. Anyways I think Zoro's true nature and the source of this power will be revealed by ushimaru/green bull in their fight.
