He wouldn't get haki power up with out the help of Rayleighs training.

G4 is fraud power-up Luffy always lose at first and need someone help to run away from his enemy once the time limit run out

Yeah without it and the training he would have zero chance against doffy.

What in hell was the point of the 2 years timeskip?

Not getting captured by smoker in the first month of being in the new world, can actually take down a Pacifista with one blow, with out the 2 years he would get rid of gear 2/3 downsides.
