The traitor need be someone who have been on Egghead for the last two months, is able to control the Dome and Sea Beasts and have control on the same lvl or above the Vegapunks over the Seraphin. It must be a Vegapunk
We can assume at least Shaka isnt involved, as there's no reason for he to panic when he was alone looking at the cameras if he was a traitor.
Liilith, York and probably Pythagoras are turned into stone, what can be undone.
Atlas was destroyed when the Dome was closed, but know is ok
Edison is destroyed but can be easly restored.
I really like the ideia of all those 5 Vegapunks being traitors. But If they are all traitors, why they would be doing some things like being turned into stone, sending S-Snake to attack Pythagoras, sending S-Bear and Hawk to kill CP0, they could just use the Seraphin to kill the SH and CP0 without hiding themself if they are all traitors.
Think at the end will be only one of them, and by now everything points to Edison, even If It seems kind random, and pehaps he já working with the WG.
I had to get in contact with a translator over how York said "Hold your Horses" to S Snake in the original.
She was quoting Edison there and I was wondering:
Japanese is weird where you could a form one word using two different words and the entire meaning changes.
So I got this as a reply.
The kanji tei for impérial or emperor is 帝.
The kanji shi for death is 死.
TeiShi but in japanese vocabulary teishi means 2 things. First is low rate of credit (kanjis written differently but exact sound) and second for cessation/stop/not move.
York's word is : 停止せよ
Both kanji 停 and 止 means halt and stop.
But apparently, 停 can also be Tei and 止 can also be Shi?
I was wondering if there was some wordplay at work where you say one thing in japanese but it can also be taken in another way.
Like Edison or York going Teishi to say "Stop" but taking Tei and Shi as seperate and "Emperor" "Death" and found some way to order them to kill disguised as stop.
But my japanese is very limited and apparently, I may have been off too.
So please it with a grain of salt. It was a mere thought I had.
Cause I felt like this would explain how the Seraphim were give an order and nobody knows how or who.
My answer would have been:
They were ordered when Edison told them to stop or when York quoted Edison.
Again, merely thoughts and I gladly retract those if it ends up wrong. Just brainstorming.
