Kurozumi Higurashi truly was the mvp during the Oden flashback for the villains as she's the one that orchestrated everything, some of us thought that Orochi or Kaido were the ones that planned to takeover Wano but nope it turns that Higurashi is the one that planned everything. She's the one that helped Orochi become Shogun, and during the battle against Oden and his group she used her trickery to allow Kaido to defeat Oden(even if Kaido wasn't too happy about that).

Also while this hasn't been confirmed yet there is still that slight possibility that Higurashi is the one that brought Kaido to Wano and arranged an alliance between him and Orochi especially since we know that she has left Wano before, overall Higurashi was pretty much the mastermind behind everything and imo she was a really good flashback antagonist.

What?? Having read Oda’s writing for almost 20 years, I know a nefarious, nigh-unredeemable character when I see one. The rest of y’all are wild for suggesting she should be viewed in a positive light; I even admitted that her plan worked perfectly, but that doesn’t change the fact that said plan was meant to (and successfully did) cause an entire nation and all its citizens to live under subjugation by two monsters. I’m not saying she wasn’t effective, because she damn sure was. Just because I agree she’s been the MVP doesn’t mean it’s a good thing, though.

Kaido killing her is yet another low light of the flashback. Makes no sense. She was 10x more competent than him and Orochi combined.

Exactly. That's too competent. Kaido likes em brutish & dumb. The only thing stopping the Hag from overthrowing Kaido was the fact that she didn't feel like it..................................yet.

Without that deal, none of this works. The Beast Pirates are defeated by Wano's combined military forces, the Kurozumi high tail out of there before they get another dose of Wano citizen justice.
