Great thing about Strawhats is that each one of them is putting their dreams aside for others. And Luffy was the first. He is the first giving up his dream for his nakamas, so it's only natural for them to retribute. That's why they are friends and not simply captain and subordinates.

Luffy isnt putting his dream aside for his nakamas. Never did. Chinjao said that the one with the strongest will(basically the strongest) can be pirate king. Luffy is challenging strong adversaries to better himself.

Yes luffy did quit his dream for sanji but he did not really for vivi and such. Luffy disrespected zoro by telling him to back off on fighting fujitora. YOu do not want to accept it at this point.

Yeah nah your argument is held together by assumptions. Big Mom may not be beaten by Luffy and if you think Shanks is Luffy's Mihawk you're ignorant at best. Did you think Mihawk is Shanks's #2, and Shanks and Luffy are going to have an even more intense fight than Zoro v Mihawk? If none of these people are the WSS then who cares? What matters is that Zoro achieves his dream, yet you only seem to find value in it if Zoro's showing off and defeating every single swordsman in the story, even if they're weaker than his endgame? The only one spewing vanity atp is you bro.

First Mihawk is top 1. Noone is stronger than Hawkeye. Second I am just providing you with arguments how zoro's path to being the greatest is lame. Zoro has been overshadowed by luffy even in fighting swordsmen such as fujitora and big mom in fujitora's case luffy told zoro explicitly to back off. Zoro is more of a crewmate than a swordsman which is not a bad thing.

Roger was a swordsman who reached the heavens and became pirate king.

I did not say that Zoro did not have WSS as his goal. Zoro has lost many times after that. Zoro's main goal is to help luffy become pirate king and that is not a bad thing. It goes against on what he promised Kuina since zoro's main focus was to be WSS. THAT IS WHY I SAID THAT ZORO BECOMING WSS IS VAIN BECAUSE IT IS NOT EVEN TAKEN SERIOUSLY BY ZORO.
