This recent chapter, 1065, had a lot of interesting details that I’d love to talk about, including a very specific point that may hint at ace himself living on.
To begin, Vegapunk Edison states that Seraphim Jinbei’s attack patterns continue to develop as it grows and that this suggests one’s lineage factor stores some of our recollections and capabilities. This is evident for example from the seraphim Jinbei inherently knowing to turn off and on the flame when he wants to gain speed.
Now we know that zoan devil fruits contain lineage factors of the creature that they are based on. This could explain multiple things! Such as how Chopper learned to walk on two legs after consuming the human human fruit, and how King and Queen were able to know how dinosaurs hunted in the past when using their abilities.
Now, we assumed that was just a gag, but with what Vegapunk has stated, it seems that the zoan fruits that King, Chopper, and Even Luffy consumed allowed them to inherently use that creature’s power through the recollections and capabilities stored in those lineage factors. It might not just be Zoans either! Sabo stated that Ace here, pointing to his flame, won’t forgive burgess, which means that the devil fruit he consumed may carry some of Ace’s recollections and capabilities with the fruit, and maybe even the previous users of the fruit as well.
This could even mean that Mihawk’s seraphim has similar sword skills to Mihawk as the seraphim’s lineage factor includes Mihawk’s recollections and capabilities as well!
