If G2/G3 Luffy is fighting on par with kaido, then Kaido needs to have awakening otherwise he gets stomped when Luffy goes G4.

Even kaido's drunk power up isn't going to be enough to deal with G4, given his portrayal against G2/G3 Luffy. Unless Oda wants this fight to be over next chapter, expect kaido to awaken.

Not sure... Kaido looks superior to a Luffy lacking G4 at the moment and we don't know how long an eventual G4 may last, maybe just enough to defeat an awaken less Kaido or an awakened Kaido I guess.......

I propose that if we get to see the full power of Kaido's fish fish fruit then it's very unlikely for Blackbeard to come and steal that power to use it as his 3rd devil fruit. However if instead of devil fruit awakening what we see is him becoming an Oni then I see it likely that Blackbeard will come to steal his devil fruit

It's Luffy's internal destruction attacks that hurt Kaido. G4 increases the force behind Luffy's attack with compression. It won't make a noticable difference against Kaido and be a waste of haki.

This chapter confirms that Kaido can powerup himself via drinking, making his Haki stronger, so there's no need of an Awakening actually.

Awakening won't give him extra power, durability or speed, only better recovery. But it won't be useful against a superior power like current G4 Luffy.
Unless his recovery rate is really awesome (which might be the case since his hype is about him being "immortal" in the sense that he can't be killed = super recovery/regeneration rate?).

Also, the Biggest selling point of Zoan awaken is fast recovery.

Even Kaido get KO He will get up soon for another round.
