This is what I consider a sword fight...

Yeah. They missed the point with Broly lol. The reason he was awesome was because of his ruthlessness and overbearing power. Making him sympathetic dilutes it.
I'd disagree. Z Broly was a monkey without personality who had 0 motivation to do what he did. He was ruthless for no reason which made him bland af and if you want overbearing power, current Broly has that too

And the shills of course defend with: "But better than OG Broly who didn't have a backstory and just scream Kakarot"

It's like some dudes here who make everything about 'muh backstory/character development', well some characters don't need it. And there can be instances where more exposure of the character backfire.

Like, clowns missing the ENTIRE SELLING POINT of Broly lmao.
Dude is an absolute badass monster who went insane because of how powerful he was. People like him because he is insane and an unstoppable fighting machine (probably the first of the kind that combined this in anime, at least the first popular one).
They changed the core of Broly's character in Super, like everything in DBS it's also trash. DBS Broly was carried by just the animation pretty much. Years later, it will be the OG Broly that people will remember with fondness again, for this reason.

And what little backstory and character OG Broly has >> what the current trash is anyway. Instead of trying something 'more deep' in super, OG Broly had a backstory and character moment which perfectly describes him.

Idiots wanna pretend like "he hates Goku because he cried when Broly was sleeping as a baby and didn't allow him to sleep", but OG Broly's backstory is subtle. What Goku's voice triggers in him is his PTSD of getting stabbed and his planet getting blown up.
This was for this exact reason why it was aptly shown right at the moment Goku punched through his gut in the same spot he was stabbed as a baby, he instantly remembers Goku crying.
OG Broly's hatred of Goku is driven by his PTSD, in his insane mind he somehow connects all his suffering to Goku.

I literally explained why he's evil and he hates Goku :risicheck: :pepebuggy:

Not everyone needs to be some sophisticated villain.
Broly went insane because of his overwhelming power, and in his insane mind he connects the PTSD he got as a baby to Goku.

That's alll that's needed to his character.
His core fanbase loved the character who was an insane and unstoppable fighting machine. Now buzz off.

Impressive. And he did all of that because Goku cried while they were babies. Now that's a backstory right there
:gokulaugh:

Wasn't this a thread about OP vs Naruto sword fights. How did we end up like this?
You damn clown, he is insane and got PTSD on the day of his birth from an attempted murder and then his planet getting blown up. You understand how PTSD works? You aren't exactly rational when you get that, and PTSD gets triggered by something the person associated with their trauma.
Goku is the trigger to his PTSD. It isn't really hard to understand.

Who TF pretends that his backstory is impressive? Literally none of his core fans care about his "backstory", his selling point is completely different. All I'm saying is, for his character, that's all the "backstory" he needs. It explains why he hates Goku. End.
Super changed the core character of Broly into something completely unrecognizable.

He can't get ptsd from something that he doesn't even remember/care. They attempted to murder him, and? After said attempt when he went mad, no one made a reference towards said attempt of murder and thus, it's irrelevant. But they did reference Goku crying. So the point appears yet again, he's mad because Goku kept crying and thus, the best option is to murder everyone. 100 iq type of shit.

You like him more because he's a mindless beast overwhelmed by power. Surprise! Current Broly is also that way but you probably didn't even watch the movie. The only thing that you dislike is the fact that Super Broly actually has a few braincells and a personality beyond "I will kill everyone".

But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter because Z Broly is dead and non canon and thus, he won't appear ever again while Super Broly is both alive and canon which means that he will keep appearing. I can imagine your tears flowing whenever you see Broly in the manga of DBS "b-but murderous monkey waaaa 😭😭😭".

I know damn well a One Piece fan isn't complaining about "fancy magic eyes", "flames", "jet monster", "throw bombs" etc. One Piece is the King of that goofy fighting style. One Piece is ass.

What I hate about one piece fights is that they're just spitting named moves at eachother all the time.
Seeing Luffy and Kaido clash big named attacks 100 times already is so lame.

That's not what makes a fight memorable or fun lol.

Teacher:"the tests questions won't be confusing"
Question:"is Kizaru a swordsman or not?"
Exactly

Someone who uses his df more yet ranked swordsman
Someone who uses a sword most of the time or as trumpcard yet isn't swordsman
Someone who doesn't use a sword even but he's swordsman

Lol

Lol, finally you got something right. One piece swordsman fights suck to the core. There is no good swordsman fight except Zoro vs Ryuma, which is closer to being considered a pure swordsman fight.
