That would make more sense if we were talking about an athlete.

Oda is only becoming more skilled, being able to draw and write better and faster, the more he acquires experience drawing and writing his manga.

Until he gets really too old, like 70 years old, and is actually sick, getting older just means he's getting more capable of drawing and writing the manga. So I don't see any reason to think he should take more breaks; On the contrary, it's better if he makes good use the age he has now, in which he has accumulated a lot of experience and isn't too old to be sick almost dying, to draw and write as much as possible, instead of slacking off taking a lot of time to draw each chapter and then ending up like Miura, never being able to finish his manga.
Are you for real? It's well known that Oda overworks himself.
This can kill you way before you're old.

Yes, I'm for real; That how I understand the matter.
You're right; Overworking can be a cause of death.
I wasn't saying in my post that Oda should overwork himself though.
If it's really true that Oda necessarily has to overwork himself in order to deliver three chapters in a month the way he does, then Finalbeta was right. But my point is that it's just hard to believe that such has to be the case, especially considering how many years of his life he already spent increasing his drawing and writing skills, and accumulating experience as a mangaka overall.
I see it as just natural to believe that Oda should be able to do much better and faster what younger people in the same area of work are able to do.
