Character Discussion Toko isnt Yasu’s biological daughter

Okay so was it fine that we get nothing between Zoro and Yasu and then Oda wants us to give a shit about Zoro wanting revenge for Yasu?
See this is how Oda started the outline of Yasu’s character. He listed all of Yasu’s traits to himself and then realised, “Holy shit, this is a great character to hinge a bunch of major story points around”:.. Then 20 chapters later when he finally had to introduce yasu, in the middle of the plot that had way too much shit already happening, he started saying to himself “Okay maybe i can offscreen or not mention this point about Yasu or that”
And bit by bit, the Yasu who ended up appearing in the Manga was VASTLY different from the one who was in Oda’s head when he decided to make this character so important
Like i dont know if you have seen this but the meeting of Zoro and Yasu in the anime is 1 million times better than the manga. Its so good that i believe Oda is definitely the one who wrote it for the anime. And thats so sad. So so sad. That the ideas of what is happening in Oda’s head are so different from what he is actually putting in the manga.
