The best episode of the entire cour so far. That flashback at the beginning was brilliant and they are actually restructuring/rewriting things. Uryuu is most likely getting a fight! The 2 part finale next week is going to be insane.

This episode was insane, the backstory added so much context like how Yhwach had one of the SK hands. Ichibei gave him Pernida to seal his eyes.

It changes a bit from CFYOW since Ichibei was actually there during the split. It's good because it shows how warped Ichibei's story is when he was explaining things to the people there.

Not really. Yhwach had a weaker version that got sealed and after absorbing the Soul King, it got stronger. Ichibei also used Pernida to do it, so it wasn't on his own.
