In the german board where I played mafia once before it was strictly forbidden for dead players to continue posting in the thread.

When a player is killed or lynched they will stay in the game as a restless spirit. They have no abilities or vote power nor can they reveal any info from their role and who they targeted in the game. When another player is killed they will form a Philosophers stone and leave the game.
