I would have to go back and read it again. Taking you for your word here. The problem here is that Kuzan could have chosen to try to put a stop to it but he chose to basically say "fuck it" and went along with it. So that's not a good excuse at least in my book. A good person would never put up with shit like that
He didn't have any chance to react. The Marines were evacuating the civilians like they were supposed to, but then out of nowhere Akainu ordered his ship to fire on them, and all the civilians were killed in seconds
1. Blackbeard
2. Marshall D Teach
3. Admiral of the Blackbeard Pirates
4. Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates
5. Former Warlord whose bounty was frozen at 0 berries
6. The Guy who allied with a former admiral
7. Guy who caught Ace
8. Guy with Gura Gura No Mi
9. Guy with Yami Yami No Mi
10. Guy with 2.2476bil berries

One could argue that the archeologists were civilians. Weren't those supposed to get killed there? Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway.: Dude killed Jaguar D. Saul for trying to help the civilians and went right back to climb the ladder in an organization who just genocided a whole island. The buster call was sent there to wipe the scholars out and that's it. Fuck Kuzan lmao

Nah Kuzan isn't a good guy, but I think its a difference between killing political targets versus killing civilians that are not targets in cold blood. So yeah Kuzan may be evil for going along and just saying "thats just my job" but still wasnt as evil as just do a genocide on a whole island
The archeologists in Ohara were, by the letter of the law, willing criminals and not civilians, cause the World Gov had made it a crime to research the Poneglyphs and they all did it regardless.

Well by doing nothing to stop it and even killing the only person who tried to stop it (Jaguar D Saul) he essentially did partake in the genocide of a whole island. Also, every tyrannical government in history has tried to justify the murder of innocents by labeling them "political enemies".
As I said: I'm judging this based on how we would look at those characters if they actually did this shit in our world and Kuzan would go into the history books as an evil genocidal general.

And Nazi germany made it illegal for citizens to hide Jews from being exterminated. I don't give a fuck about the law some authoritarian, tyrannical government upholds in order to tighten their grip on power. That's a weak excuse

But in your nazi example, you would say that a citizen who did nothing is as evil as Hitler? I mean you can, but then most people in the world are because they dont activly fight against the global trade system we live under now, where kids work in sweatshops and mine minerals till death while having toxic fumes and sludge poising them. Sometimes I think that too, but I don't know if that isn't controversial😂
Because even just looking at One Piece, than every citizen who "just does his jobs" and doesnt rebel against the gorosei would be as evil as Im
1. doflamingo(enslaved people, erased their existence, rapist, turned people against their king, was ceasers boss so hes bad for experimenting on children just as much as ceaser is)
2. celestial dragons
3. orochi
4. kaido
5. crocodile
6. ceaser(experimented on children)
7. lucci (semi genocide higher than akainu cuz he enjoyed it)
8. akainu (genocide)
9. blackbeard (betrayed everyone and their mothers)
10. abslom i guess can’t think of any more

No I don't think that a citizen who did nothing because they feared getting executed were as evil as Hitler and that wasn't the point of that analogy. The point of that analogy was to show that just because some tyrannical dictatorship puts some tyrannical laws into place, doesn't make people who break those tyrannical laws deserving of death. Also, Kuzan didn't just "do nothing". he was an active part and even killed the only person who tried to help out those people.

Wait is it confirmed that Doflamingo raped Viola, cause if true, he may went too far with the pun name this time (Viol or Viole is rap in some latin language😂)

Yes but the Jews didn’t have the potential to awaken three weapons of world destruction.
The scholars in Ohara could have done. What Kuzan did in Ohara was not right, and as a result of it he changed his philosophy and started to question what justice is, because it could have driven him mad. But from his perspective at the time he was trying to stop a group of rogue architects who’s research had genuinely apocalyptic potential. They weren’t civilians, and he was horrified at Sakazuki going after the genuine civilians.

I mean I can see and respect your point but personally I still have to put him on this list. He clearly took part in an evil act here. It's good that he changed though. The point of this list was to look at how these characters would be perceived in our world. I don't think people would make so many excuses for Kuzan if this actually happened is my point and his killing of Jaguar, the only person who was willing to do the right thing and help out, really cements that for me.
Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!
Donquixote Doflamingo
This applies for in real life as well. The winners and status quo decides what's is right.
In many parts of the world USA is evil and others who fight them are rightous if the other party gain's dominance and controls the government and people. Then they decide who is evil and who is right.

I mean even if you want to pretend that it's all relative, one can still looknat Oda and the common morality that he shares and judge the charachters how he portrays them, meaning he does show some as clearly bad, and judges actions such as killing bystanders who arent involved as evil, or abandoning ones friends or being a hypocrite ect as evil so we can sti judge them by that standart.

So we are looking at how a Japanese man's sense of morals and baseing it off what Oda considers evil and not anyone else from a different part of the world whose sense of morals May be complete opposite of Oda?
Power and strength decides what's right and wrong.
I mean sure the defeated party may be good(to the defeated parties perspective) but humanity will see them as evil. Regardless of what basic morals you or anyone else claim's to follow.
The winners decides the laws and defines what is right and wrong from the smallest to biggest issues.
You may or may not agree to this but without power and strength you can't decide anything.

Nah I just mean that even when Rozanate was killed because Doffy had the "might" the conveid message wasn't "see Doffy is good, because only strength decides the truth!" but that he was a bad guy, and that seemed to corolate with rhe morality of the author and most readers.

True I agree with this but people trying to define certain things and characters in this thread as evil and whatnot made me bring up might makes right stuff in the first place. It's subjective and not At the same time cause really the winners define that and the morals and values change as sometimes the losing party becomes victorious so...
