Controversial Top 5 Games Hollywood should adapt

Over the last 10 or so years Hollywood started adapting many games for Movies and TV, now there are some older adaptations but it was pretty rare until about 2014 with the need for speed movie and many others have come out since then so here's 5 games I think would make great Movies/ TV series

-5 Kirby The Kirby lore is vast so vast in fact you could make multiple Movies from it and Kirby is my favorite video game character of all time so yee there's that, it could be the same as fhe sonic movie, make Kirby CGI with human actors


4-Zelda- i personally never played Zelda a day of my life not a single level but an old friend used to ramble to me about the lore, its world building and story lines would make for a great TV series and fantasy shows are really popular these days

3. Donkey Kong- The character was already introduced in the Mario movie, it be simple to give him his own spin off of Movies, a donkey komg country movie would be awesome especially if they put the donkey Kong rap in it top

2- Mafia- Who doesnt like a good mafia series, I could see this show coming on HBO each season covered by each game,


1- God of War-God of war would be such an amazing series to watch seeing Kratos go from the angry, bitter and vengeful God killer to not only a better man but a great and inspiring father to his son would be an awesome series Michale cudlitz who plays lex luthor in super man and lois would do amazing in this role

Completely agree, they could do so much with the DK Rap and even make it more epic/cinematic lmao.

I'd love to see Horizon get a series or films too. Beyond Good and Evil is a MUST and I wish we could have more Prince Of Persia films but ideally more faithful ones lol.

I'd love to see Jet Set Radio as an anime or tv series or w/e, preferably animated regardless.

Splatoon would work extremely well for a Disney/Dreamworks style animated movie ofc. The music, visuals, style etc of that game goes HARD and absolutely insane! Kinda like a modern day JSR in a way and made by Nintendo instead.

I'd love to see more Ace Attorney films too, I enjoyed the Ace Attorney film but I saw it a long time ago and I seem to be an absolute minority who actually liked it from the AA fanbase too sadly lol.

There's a nice Zelda Wind Waker indie ripoff/tribute game I played called Oceanhorn which I'd like to see as a lower budget, simpler, maybe made for Netflix or Amazon w/e type movie, the story of the first game was kinda heartfelt in a place (seeing the ghost of your dead father and visting your mothers grave IIRC really hit emotionally.)

People love Brothers A Tale of Two Sons apparently, although I absolute HATE, Detest and Loathe that game but I cannot deny the edgy, young adult side of Netflix would LOVE that shit, dark fantasy and such. I'm surprised Hollywood has not adapted that yet.

Ratchet and Clank got a movie IIRC, I need to check it out. I'm surprised Jax and Daxter haven't gotten one or especially Crash Bandicoot and Spyro AFAIK?

For those who know Chibi Robo too, there's a really sweet, heartfelt story in that game and it would be so popular as a movie for kids imo. Easy to sell toys/merch for it too.

I really love Skies of Arcadia and Baten Kaitos and would love to see them get films based on their stories or ideally a TV series.

I'd love to see Banjo Kazooie get a Dreamworks style movie, a tongue in cheek style that Dreamworks tends to do well especially with Shrek ofc and Banjo Kazooie is full of that kind of snarky, meta humour too.

Sam and Max is a brilliant IP too, I'd love to see that get a proper movie or a new Netflix or Amazon or w/e series. But I would need the original VAs from the Telltale games, they are too iconic for me.

A more absurd option would be to see Crazy Taxi adapted or some other niche options like Space Channel 5 or Total Overdose maybe?

I'm surprised GTA has not been adapted by Hollywood yet SOMEHOW, especially San Andreas imo or at least Vice City or even a new storyline, city etc ofc. Same with Saints Row too.

I'd like to see Broken Sword adapted too. Ori and the Blind Forest could be great too ofc.

I would really love to see Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective get adapted too. Murdered: Soul Suspect also has a beautiful, very dark and thus Noir ghost detective story too.

I would LOVE to see Okami adapted too but it needs to be made with pure passion, love, respect for Japanese culture, mythology, art and such, which from Hollywood and the West....yeah.....




I'd absolutely love to see Tales of Symphonia especially get adapted too.

Dark Souls and Lost Kingdoms (getting very niche with the latter but made by Fromsoftware or w/e in their earlier days, pre-Dark Souls era but think Yugioh with realtime combat and somewhat Souls-like difficulty anyway haha)

Ah damn that sucks, I need to play the games sometime. Ive been obsessed with Courtney Gears since someone posted her on here for a contest on here lmao. I love those type of games too, I played a lot of Jet Force Gemini and Metal Arms: Glitch In The System back in teh day especially.

I think Spyro should get a movie at least, it could be so immensely popular potentially. I find it hard to not see it being popular at least. Would have been smart if they had made it when How To Train Your Dragon was really popular but with the live action of HTTYD coming out, there's another opportunity now....But even then Spyro could carry itself too easily imo.

I'd love to see Deus Ex and Alpha Protocol get adapted but like most of these IPs, I dont trust Hollywood to ruin them. Either let the original creators/writers and such be involved or at least get people to work on it who are familiar with it and ideally fans of these IPs.
