There are 2 things I never saw in America that I missed dearly

1. Roast pork sandwiches with stuffing and crackling - mostly a northern english thing; here they dip the bread in the pork drippings too.

2. Bacon/Bacon+Egg sandwich - I imagine not popular in the states because you can't really make it with streaky (american) bacon.

And I think the classic Croque monsieur deserves a mention. The french took toasties to the next level.

you can get Chinese Roast Pig (or Thit Heo Quay in Vietnamese) at most Chinese restaurants in the US and especially NYC. Usually served with rice though and not on bread.

Basically a McDonald's Egg McMuffin (which has Canadian Bacon) + American Bacon (which you can add on the app) lol

You even saying that is proof that americans can't do bacon and egg sandwiches, it's not even close.

Not that bacon+egg sandwiches are anything special, they get sold out the back of dirty breakfast food trucks here. But the ingredients need to be freshly fried with a sunny egg and a bit of lurpack butter

There are plenty of those in NYC like the one below

Pretty much in any Bodega (neighborhood grocery store) every 2-3 blocks and usually for under $6 USD. The only reason why I brought up McDonalds is because of the fact that no one here eats Canadian Bacon outside of McDonals, and not because Americans "can't do bacon and egg sandwiches"

Here's a Bacon Egg Cheese (abbreviated as BEC in NYC) on a Croissant from JASLEEN DELI - 383 Nostrand Ave, Bedford-Stuyvesant, New York

Are you talking about a Bacon Butty?

In no particular order - nothing really beats a good Philly; I grew up in the South so I can always get down with Chick-Fil-A, but shoutout to Popeyeโ€™s for coming closest to knocking off the kings; Iโ€™m Jewish, so I obviously enjoy Reubens (especially when made by a fellow member of the tribe); peanut butter (or Nutella!) and jelly always hit the sweet spot; AND HOT DOGS BECAUSE THEYโ€™RE SANDWICHES, ITโ€™S MEAT ENCASED IN BREAD WHICH IS THE TRADITIONAL DEFINITION OF THE TERM, I WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY QUESTIONS OR CHALLENGES AT THIS TIME :getnappaed:
