That's not how it works.

If town or Indie gets it.
They don't get to choose the role. They just tell me, stay the same, mafia, coven, town, indie. I then pick a role for them, they do not get to choose.

If a scum team gets it, they get to choose any role in their faction to be. Roles do not go into effect until I end the day.

Ali just said he can’t be an indie. Only players who can’t switch to indie are players from scum team. Therefore Ali prob scum team. Seems like a huge slip here
