General Rules:

  1. ToS Phases
    1. Day Phase - The game will start in this phase. Players will have 24 hours to discuss.
    2. Vote Phase- During the day phase players will be able to cast votes, when majority is reached (ie 6 out of 10 players) day will end and move to the next phase
    3. Defense Phase - The person who was voted up will be called up by the host to make only one defense post, no other players are allowed to talk. They have one hour to make the post if they do not players can start voting (innocent, guilty or abstain). Players who are afraid they may be put on the lynch stand can leave a defense with the host in their role PMs for emergencies. If majority votes guilty the player will be lynched, if he is found innocent they will get the remainder of the day to finish discussing or find another lynch candidate. If no time is remaining, it will proceed to the next phase.
    4. Night Phase - Allow scum parties to chat at night and all players send in their actions. Jailors & Jailee, Medium & Dead are allowed to chat through PM.
  2. Players can not post in the game thread during the Night Phase.
  3. Whispers Players are allowed to send 2 whispers during the day phase, and only receive 2 in the dayphase.
    1. To Send a whisper write in your Role PM Whisper to (players name): Your message.
  4. If Flavor is provided for the game, you are not allowed to say what character you have received at any time. (Flavor is irrelevant in ToS and solely for the use of the host)
  5. Players are required to post 5 times during the day phase.
  6. Scum can only chat at night.
  7. No talking about the game outside of the game thread and game related PMs.
  8. You can leave a last will in your PM that the host will post upon your death.
  9. In forum version of ToS, Mafia has a faction kill and can choose any mafia member to perform the kill.
  10. Follow all other mafia section rules & forum rules.

  1. Game Thread Messages
    1. A plague has consumed town summoning Pestilence, horseman of the Apocalypse! (Plaguebearer becoming Pestilence)
    2. An Unstoppable force meets an invincible Object. The ground beneath your feet shakes! (Fully leveled Juggernaut and Pestilence attack each other)
    3. Amnesiac remembers who they were (We will no longer reveal the role they remembered)
    4. Coven has gained Necronomicon
    5. (Player's name) revealed as Mayor
    6. The guardian Angel protected Players Name (The first time the guardian angel protects their target)

All these abilities are to be considered in their barest forms, so immunities and extra attributes aren't in effect for this general priority list. Those immunities and attributes are to allow some abilities to jump ahead in order of this list.

Misc abilities are those that don't fit under any of the other categories. The forger's forge, disguiser's disguise, and the medium's talking to the dead are examples of those which would be misc.

Immunities
There are different types of immunities to allow roles to bypass certain actions that might be ahead of them in line.

Role Block Immune -
Players get to bypass role blocks from the escort and consort. The jailor's jail and the pirate's duel are day actions, however, and won't be affected by role block immunity.

Control Immune -
Will not be controlled by the Witch or Coven Leader nor will not have their role controlled by the Necromancer or Retributionist if dead (presumably for this one).

Conversion Immune -
The player will not be converted by conversive abilities such as the Vampire if bitten by one.

Detection Immune -
Players with this immunity will show up as 'Innocent' to a Sheriff's investigation.

Attacks and Defense Levels
There are levels of attacks from killing roles and different levels of defenses from protective roles. At their most basic forms, protections > kills as shown in the priority list. However, these levels allow either of them to jump ahead of the other.

Basic Attack -
Roles with a basic attack will kill roles that don't have any protection on them. Any protection role or player with an extra defense can stop this kill.

  • Vampire (if attempts to convert a non-town)

Basic Defense -
A player who has basic defense can survive basic attacks.
  • Bodyguard (with vest)
  • Crusader (with vest)
  • Veteran (on alert)
  • Godfather
  • Serial Killer
  • Arsonist
  • Witch (for first attack)
  • Executioner
  • Survivor (with vest)
  • Werewolf (on a full moon)
  • Plaguebearer
  • Juggernaut (after 1 kill)
  • Coven Leader (with necromonicon)
Rampage & Powerful Attacks -
Players with these attacks will kill their visitors and anybody who visits them ignoring basic defense. If the player decides to stay at home, they will kill all their visitors. These attacks are also classified as Powerful for their ability to ignore a basic defense. Bodyguard, Trapper, and Pestilence, however, DO NOT have a rampage attack.

  • Werewolf

  • Medusa (on gaze)
Powerful Defense -
This level of defense will defend a player from a rampage and powerful attack.

  • Any player protected by a Doctor, Bodyguard, Trapper, Crusader, or Guardian Angel
  • Any player who is jailed by the Jailor
Unstoppable Attack -
This attack will bypass all defenses below it.
  • Jailor's Execution
  • Arsonist's Ignite
  • Jester's Haunt
  • Juggernaut (after 3 kills)
  • Hex Master's Final Hex
Invincible -
The player cannot die at night.

-You can protect your target from one attack each night and counter attack their attacker
-If your target is attacked by multiple attackers you will kill one and the other will kill your target

-You and the attacker both can be healed from the attack
-You will counter all attack roles
-You will even die if you counter a ghoul
-If your target is a roleblocker who was visiting a serial killer or Werewolf who attacks them you will counter your targets attacker and save them
-If a Full-Powered Juggernaunt attacks your target, all 3 of you will die.

-At night build a trap you can place, the next night you can place it on a player
-If you remove the trap from a player, you can't place it again until the next night.
-If someone visits your target you will get a list of roles (not players) who visited your target.
-If someone attacks your target you will attack with a powerful attack. You will only attack one attacker. Your target will have powerful defense against one attacker.
-You can be roleblocked from building your trap.
