the problem I have with this webcomic is that the author loves to hype a class then all of a sudden they become trash.

because there is a very large gap between high ranker, ranker, regular and you are telling me non top rankers can run away from a high ranker. it makes no sense

Yeah, I agree. SIU is making a mockery of his established lore purely for the sake of making some Regulars relevant in a situation where they can't be relevant. In summary:

In retrospect, what's happening right now is something that was always meant to happen. It was emphasized many times that Baam can't go with them forever given his monstrous growth rate.

So SIU only has two options given the way he's set the lore and the Ranker/Regular dynamic:

A. Grow some balls and have Baam separate from the rest. He can continue to develop them, but their storylines won't be strictly involving Baam directly, at least not for some time. It didn't seem like he opted for this, but with the V shit, we could perhaps have this route for a bit.

B. Don't let them separate. This means that the Regular friends have to be relevant somewhat in Ranker/High Ranker scenarios. Of course, it should be impossible in normal circumstances, so this is when the BS power-ups and the forced narrative come (the Nest and this arc are examples of this IMO).
