We don't know what is the full extent of the awakening does, we don't even know what it does, also to me awakening is samething with basic DF power the more you use it more powerful/effectiveness the power gets.

This ability only seems to work on people far weaker than him who don’t have decent haki, so far he only used it on the weakest Strawhat Pirates, people like Nami, Chopper, Sanji etc, I don’t see that ability working on people with decent levels or haki or strength

Well, they are not used to awakening which is true, however they were forced to use it as a last resort which means that they could even show something beyond their limit. Big Mom is their opponent after all. We have to see how Law looks after this technique in the next chapter.

Kid has inline awakening to doffy and kat(as in the starting point of the fruit can be used in other not just himself)

But laws fruit? Thats not gonna hapen. Its like foxis fruit as well, changing the starting point is redundant
