As you can see in this comment from democrats, they consider Trans people as an election tool and not as a real minority to help. It's usually what happens with liberals, they are depoliticized to the point where they can't really understand the struggle they are advocating to be appart of like anti-racism or LGBTQ+ fights.
So it's not surprising that liberals will turn on Trans people as soon as those people are not helpfull to win an election or a political argument.
Democrats/Liberals are simply conservatives with a progressive paint on the surface. When you scrap the pain, you usually see a lot of issues.
Some are more leftists, but those - I think - are about to create a new movement.
