I don't really have an issue with the last arcs.
I enjoyed acrobaleno plot and the battles.
You're right, now that you mention Varia, It doesn't even seem like they did much progress
I just wished we got more arcs to see Adult Tsuna ruling and leading his men.

The idea and plot of the arcs were great. I liked the idea about the seven flames of earth and Enma and Adelheid are cool characters, but the arc was rushed imo. We never saw the name or ability of Kaouros earth flame. Plus even if some of the fights were cool to read, imo they was rushed too.
Same thing with the last arc, all major characters were part of this arc but most of them were defeated offscreened. Like Daisy or Bluebell we also never saw Kaorus flame in this arc too. Same thing with new powers from the Varia. It was said that the Varia got their own special rings, but it was a waste of potential because we never saw a real fight of them in the last arc. So for what reason we needed that information about the rings? Maybe I forgot something but imo besides Xanxus no one of them showed something new.
I thing the last two arcs could be much better. Imo the future saga were the best part of the story and one of the best sagas overall in shounens.
Still hope we will get a second season with the last two arcs.
