Wano had no business being so long, so I don't mind if the upcoming arcs are shorter...but lets be honest we all know what's gonna happen.

He's gonna introduce a bunch of nonsense characters and side plots primarily because he thinks its 'fun', continue propping up Luffy as much as possible while sidelining all the Strawhats, stretch out certain plot developments because he either wants to reach someone meaningless arbitrary chapter number or tie it in with whatever movie comes out, realize he made the arc too long and finish everything ASAP.

Unfortunately I can see this ending like Bleach.

Most Japanese folks are like that, straightforward and have simple outlook in life and don’t like complicated stuff because they don’t have time to think about anything but their job so Oda only needs to add stuff that he thinks is fun without properly thinking about how he can make it pay off because his Japanese audience aren’t the critical type and will enjoy anything as long as it “looks cool” on panel without properly trying to understand its context.
