Powers & Abilities Underuse of Future Sight and missed opportunities

Is it just me or did Luffy use FS less in his fight with Kaido than he did in his fight with Katakuri? The entire fight was so focused on ACoA and ACoC that Future Sight got extremely sidelined.
I believe that it could have added a lot to the fight, and it only makes sense for Luffy's Future Sight to be way better than it was in WCI against Katakuri. For example, the cliffhanger where mr. Go allowed Kaido to land a clean hit on Luffy could have been Luffy seeing the future and eventually outmaneuvering them both (Joy Boy thing could have been used later).
It's like Oda completely forgot about the massive boost he gave Luffy an arc ago, even though it could make the plot and fights consistently more interesting. The one time that Luffy tried to use it in the fight he got hit by a Thunder Bagua.

He used it less because Observation was useless when you don’t have enough time to react/dodge. Kaido was just too fast despite seeing the future.

Did this make CoO useless? Yes, unless if the opponents/attacks are a lot slower (which could very well happen).

Sanji used it against Queen

By far hes the best FS user, no wonder Katakuri shat his pants when Sanji casually countered his CoO

Oda forgot. Or neglected.

Too hax so Oda will use it occasionally only.
Same happened with "intermediate" CoO (Skypiea priests and Enel lvl) or even basic CoO (detecting presences).

Overall CoO makes many situations easily solvable (an easy example: Tama was impossible to have been kidnapped in front of Luffy and Zoro when they could detect Caribou in GI without trying) so author ignores it blatantly since it will be inconvenient for the plot.
