Both are difficult slots, but Origami debuts as a proper ally after season 3.
One of the main conflicts is the wizard vs wizard vs Kurumi triangle where Mana and Origami are against Ellen on one side and against Kurumi on the other side. Mana is portrayed as the natural counter to Kurumi but she also wants to surpass Ellen who is supposed to be the strongest wizard. Origami also has the same deal going on. Origami and Mana first were from opposing factions but are now part of team Ratatoskr, or that Ratatoskr/Spirit alliance going on. Note Origami was a human wizard but then got turned into a spirit by the Spirit Queen herself.
It's some destiny and chosen one shit. Idk how wise it is going against Ekko. But based on what I told you guys you can try to determine the alignment yourself.

well my experience of playing with him is that if he is scum or has a funny / dangerous role he is pretty much all over the place like this was in all the games i played with him, and so far he didn't seemed to much interested or like really trying to have a presence in here and makes me think he's just town chilling ofc some people disagree with that but that's just form my experience :)
