Successfully reproduced perfect copies of both paramecias and zoans, to the point where he created a PERFECT copy of Kaido's mythical zoan.

Created seraphims.

Created pacifistas.

Built entire egghead island.

Kairoseki ships technology.

The list goes on...

Vegapunk is by FAR the smartest and most inteligent character in OP so far.

Vegapunk is a brain dead clown. If he doesn't have a fail safe to take control over seraphims , then he is retarded.

Exactly you can’t be considered a genius if you don’t at least think that far ahead. He knows what the WG are about. Then he’s researching the void century knowing it could get him killed and he isn’t considering all possibilities of another character using that against him. That’s ridiculous.
