Old Man Vegapunk is coming to Wano.
Early One Piece this concept was prevalent but Post TS we haven’t seen it as much, or maybe I’ve forgotten.

Since the timeskip we have learned about fake devils thru Caesar (Artificial Zoans), then real ones thru Vegapunk (Momonosuke). Earlier in One Piece the concept of devil fruits absorbed into weapons is possible and Spanda said he received his as a Gift from the higher ups.

Is it a reach to postulate that Vegapunk has a tie to Devil Fruit usage and implementation? Is it possible he knows a thing or two about the details of Devil Fruit Framework? Especially given the depressing plotline of Smiles and how they warp emotions of people. With the knowledge that it doesn’t have a cure, in usual One Piece happy arc endings, can we expect Smile to be cured? If so will it be by Chopper or a bigger presence like Vegapunk and Sword (Coby, Drake, Smoker, Tashigi, Aokiji/Greenbull?) by the end of this arc?

The name Vegapunk was teased earlier in the arc and Cipher Pol is still here.

Well Chopper's dream is to find a cure to all "evils" meant as illnesses of any sort, probably aging itself as well, so if he really manages to crown his own dream, then perhaps this could occur soon enough due looking way less demanding, at least apparently, of course. It would also depend on when he wo crown that dream however.

Vegapunk will probably show up in Kaido's flashback, but that would be a lame way to introduce such a hyped up character. Hopefully we'll see him in a interlude chapter between Act 3 and Act 4.

This is what I've been saying ever since SMILES became a problem on Wano. Vegapunk has a clear understanding of how Devil Fruits work due to him discovering and implementing the Lineage factor, and later Caesar using that research to ultimately develop the fake fruits. CP-0 describe his experiments with Kaido as "extracting his (Kaido's) DNA" or Lineage Factor in order to produce a duplicate of his fruit which Momo ate. Devil Fruits seem to merge with their user on a cellular level.

Orochi early in the arc demanded Vegapunk come to Wano. I don't know for what purpose he wanted him there, but it would be pointless if this plotpoint didn't go anywhere on Wano, and I like to believe CP-0 still being part of the Fire Festival on Onigashima is due in part to them complying to Orochi's demands.

Yes absolutely on a cellular level, what Luffy stretches for example are nothing but the cells of his own body.

In terms of the narrative he has all the reason to show up.

There's hope for the Germa-Vegapunk connections to have been intense in the past. I hope that Oda will portray Sanji v Queen if that will equate to knowing more soon. And about Vegapunk's past specifically as well hopefully.

We are already aware of the notion Judge and Vegapunk worked in the same research team.

It's extremely likely that Vegapunk shows up and cures the people that suffer under the side effects of the smiles.

Oda said that Vegapunk will eventually break down devil fruits to us in detail, can't wait for that.

Hopefully he shows up with Sentomaru, Smoker and Tashigi.
