The road to WGS will be between one swordsman from each yonko crew

(1) Zoro from the Strawhats pirates

(2) Shiryu from the Blackbeard pirates

(3) Mihawk from Crosa Guild

(4) Vista from the Red Hair Pirates

Oda likely already envisioned this from the start, as why else insert needless filler info about Vista having history with Yasopp? As seen with this panel of Yasopp and Vista glowering each other down, they can’t even contain their rage in a sensitive time like Marineford. Pretty pointless info at the end of the day, yet Oda even adressed it in an SBS

Or perhaps Oda doesn’t just create filler information like that for no reason.

Vista’s importance is striking and shouldn’t be understated.

When the Vivre Card info says Mihawk is looking for a swordsman with greater skills than Shanks, the VC and Databook go full cirlcle on that as in fact Vista was the guy Mihawk was in fact looking for in terms of fulfilling the criterion for a worthy swordsman. It’s just Oda doesn’t spell it out for you lol but it was literally there all along

you can’t just pick Mihawk’s VC and discard Vista’s Databook information so if you got that one wrong it’s on you lol :holdthisl:


Simply following the evidence and clues leads to the conclusion that Vista is an endgame challenger for the WGS title, and his teaming up with Red Hair goes full circle with the Yasopp connection.

The title of WGS will be a fleeting one as it will be closely tied between the four of them in tandem with the Yonko’s race to Laugh Tale

I don't necessarily have an issue with vista returning but i don't think the use of databooks really helps your case tbh

Shanks recruiting members from the fallen rocks trio crews is an interesting idea tho. Him getting 1 member from each crew would be dope imo

The only situation i can see vista being of use to shanks and for some reason fight with mihawk is if the davy back fight happens.

Why should I ignore the Databook? Even the VC says Vista lacked fear against Mihawk, so both sources affirm that there was never a real gap between Mihawk and Vista.
