Btw Kaido never felt Oden's presence or haki within Retainers blades! He only asked if they were using same haki as him then had ptsd.

Oden's spirit is an headcanonical definition and not necessarily the equivalent of presence.

It is very simple.

Enma has a supply of Oden's haki stored inside. Anytime someone tries to put his own haki on the sword, Enma tries to use that supply and suck in the wielder's haki.
With time you can control the sword and use it as a normal one or as a OdenCoC&CoA™ dispenser.


Is the supply already gone? Can Zoro store his own haki inside Enma? We don't know yet, but we know that Zoro on the roof used a weird haki, that at times after Zoro decided to unleash Enma a bit more the sword had a strange aura around, and that Kaido felt Oden's presence in it on those moments
