Doesn't the next volume start with chapter 1026? That's the chapter Luffy vs Kaido resumes, and the next near dozen chapters are devoted to Zoro and Sanji's fights. Maybe the volume cover is devoted to the Monster Trio along with Kaido and his two top Calamities.
