We all know the issues and problems with the Wano arc, so I won't be talking about that.
But the Yamato cover story was nothing more than a continuation of the Wano curse.
We've had 44 chapters of this boring cover story and the only interesting thing that happened was Ulti and Page One joining Yamato, and the Kozuki Moria reveal, that is pretty much it.
The rest of the cover story was mainly Yamato traveling around and eating, that's it! Just traveling and eating.
Yeah there was also the whole thing with Who's Who, but that wasn't even interesting or hype either.
Some people were coping and kept saying "be patient, this cover story will eventually get really good!"
"Wait until we see Kaido and Big Mom return during the cover story." "Blackbeard Pirates will invade Wano." "By the end of the cover story, Yamato will get on a ship, and join the Straw Hats."
Guess what? None of those happened.
Not only was this cover story boring, and a complete waste of time, but it also once again proved that Yamato truly is a waste of character.
We wasted so much time with Yamato's character during the Wano arc, where Oda kept trying to hype her up and make it seem like she was going to join the crew, only at the end for that to not happen.
And then we get a 44 chapter cover story focusing on Yamato just traveling and eating.
She was a waste of character in the Wano arc and she was a waste of character in the cover story.

Ichiji and Reiju rescuing Niji and Yonji
The Vinsmokes clashing with Katakuri and Oven

Judge and Caesar teaming up and forming Neo MADS
So yeah this entire Yamato cover story was nothing more than a boring and garbage cover story.
