Where was Kurama defeated in both situations?
Help from Kushina, help from Mito.
Kurama was put into sleep against Hashirama, and this was controlled Kurama, not conscious.
Against Naruto, help from Kushina and sealed thanks to Minato's seal.

We saw Hashirama himself tame Kurama. There is no way you're asking where he defeated Kurama, when he grabs Kurama like a rat and pats him on the head to make him sleep.
What Mito did was help Konoha secure the strongest tailed beast as the ultimate power that could no longer be used against it anymore. Which is heavily thanks to Mito's unique chakra even among the Uzumaki/Senju.
You asked where Hashirama defeated Kurama. You were provided the panels of where he grabbed Kurama like a rat and tapped him on the head and put him to sleep. Which would be considered defeating Kurama. "Eventually was gonna wake up again" is headcannon not backed anything in the manga.
There is 0 evidence in the manga that Mito played any relevant role in that fight. Neither Madara mentions it, and he would if Hashirama actually recieved help... neither we see it in Hashirama's flashback... which we would if it was of any relevance.
Minato on the other hand failed to subdue Kurama. Had he had the capability to subdue Kurama, his wife would still be alive along with himself.

Hashirama wont be able to bypass kamui from Obito, nor Kakashi and wont be able to handle Minato's speed.

Took like 30 seconds for Minato to defeat Obito, Hashirama if he could win, would had won much later which will mean bye bye Konoha.
