Ace haters are genuinely retarded

It’s the same people crying about how “shallow” OP is since there’s no deep characters but the moment they see a flawed character they turn it into mindless slander.

Why are you expecting deep characters if you want every character to be perfect or flawless or have smart thinking at every juncture? Ace was flawed and that’s what precisely makes him great.

I do think his character would have been better if we had the whole flashback arc before Marineford and Sabos existence was just scrapped out of the story but he’s still amazing

Just as the title says, do any of you believe he was a good character? If so, why? What traits did he have that you enjoyed? Did you like his fruit and how he used it? In what ways could he have been better?
If someone asked me, I'd say he's definitely not my favorite but I do like him and think he's an enjoyable character.

And yeah, same opinion as you said - I liked him, but Ace wasn't my fav. But I would swap him for Sabo if I could.

I don´t really understand the complaints about Ace trying to engage Sakazuki tbh? It fits into his personality and backstory which create a fatal flaw for him. I would understand the complaints if Ace engaged with Sakazuki, and was saved by plot and lived happily ever after, but that isn´t what happened? He was impulsive, and faced the consequences of his actions.

Doesnt matter if yonkous,warlords or Admirals..he threw fists

I don't dislike Ace or anything, but he's just not very interesting. Oda should've done more with him before Marineford if he wanted me to care about his life and death outside of how it affected Luffy
