Powers & Abilities Was Trebol initially a logia?

#1
Hello Folks,

Usopp tryed to fight Trebol and succeeded to cut him into half (triple?) in Chapter 741. But the attack did no damage to Trebol and everyone tought it was because he is a logia.

Later we see he is just very skinny and got an Paramecia fruit. Did Oda just changed his Fruit type later on or did i miss something? Didnt see anyone mentioning it yet.

Its a bit sad as it would have been a good fight for Usopp.

A very similar problem happened with Katakuri, I think when it was Jinbei vs him at the tea party where in the manga, Jinbei refers to him as a Logia but then it was "fixed" for the volume release to say he's a "Special Paramecia" instead?

This whole thing with Trebol also really bothered me and I agree, he should have been an actual fight for Usopp. I think Robin had difficult with his DF too or so?

You think the same occurred with Magellan and a few others perhaps? I'm not that confident honestly.
I definitely believe it happened with Magellan, whether it was prior to his introduction in the manga or not or at least in the anime? Him being a Paramecia never settled well with me and it led to one of the most stupidest and aborrent gags, character flaws and ways to nerf a character imo.

Yes, i always thought about that Scene, it can be kinda justified by saying Trebol jumped but that's really far-fetched
I think it was clearly drawn in a way that Trebol is a Logia & there is no Body hiding inside

I think the reason Oda made both Trebol & Katakuri's DFs Paramecia is because of Logia DF Origin
I think he found out that the Origin Story for DFs he created doesn't justify Mochi & Trebol's Sticky Substance as Logia & must be Paramecia

Well he looks so deeply rooted as a logia!

The first time I spotted him I was almost sure he would have been unraveled as one but Goda sensei surprised me at that ancient age.

Yeah it was really weird but I guess making him a Paramecia was a way to nerf him, due to the issues with Crocodile and Enel previously? But idk, he felt like a Logia or even in hindsight an "awakened Paramecia", I think when he used Venom Demon? I remember having those thoughts/feelings at that time, but it's been ages since I've seen Impel Down.
