Speculations We just encountered an original DF creator ?

Now that we have a basic explanation of how DFs are created do you guys think Toki is the original creator of the Toki Toki no Mi ?

We know she comes from around the void century ( which is likely an era where people could have had desires strong enough to create DFs )
She shares the name with the DF ( not sure it's important but it's there )
She had the desire to come to Wano, maybe she wanted to meet with Joy Boy and she knew he would've appeared again in Wano in 800+ years and he would've stopped all the suffering or whatever was happening then ?

What do you guys think ?

Maybe, it was always weird to me that her name is the same as her fruit. Though, Idk if the same difference exist in japanese.
Btw, Zoro and Sanji are "kinda" probably as well (Ashura / DJ). Asspull powerups who never made any sense

That makes a lot of sense and would explain her extremely convenient name too. Maybe her parents designated her name based on a wish in this regard and it ledto her getting that DF too?

It could also explain why we didn't got any major info from her, maybe she was just a normal person who was wishing to see a happier future......

It will be interesting if we ever find out the actual process.....like is there an actual tree where people get them? Or once they go through some sort of trauma they get the power or the DF appears in front of their eyes? We'll have to wait and see i guess :/

Yeah that makes sense, she was such a humble, quaint person but with a strong will too, she was gentle but firm too, a real balance of the two.

Yeah I'm expecting some real Garden of Eden, forbidden fruit and all that Biblical symbolism to really get heavy handed and more literal soon in OP. (Although DEvil Fruits already cover the forbidden fruit symbolism ofc.)
We have Imu in some kind of idyllic garden and acting like they are the "omniscient/all powerful God of the world" with their own secret paradise there. We have Adam and Eve trees shown and mentioned, "Noah's Ark", a "Jesus" Burgess, lots of Devil and Hell references, Angels and so on ofc.

Maybe these fruits appear during times of immense despair and thus trauma as you said, they appear to those who need or desire them the most, much like how the Devil appears to potential victims to coerce them into taking the forbidden deals with them?

I'm really looking forward to finding out what is their actual root (pun not intended) and thus how this all originated. We're getting to the most exciting, important, biggest parts of OP and I'm so very excited!

My friend was saying to me the other day, that he hopes we learn how parts of the OP world like Cipher Pol, the WG itself, Gorosei, Marines, Devil Fruits, Haki, sailing and thus piracy came to be, what started and thus inspired it all, the very groundwork of all of these things and so on.

Oda did say before the final saga, that he is going to draw all of the mysteries of One Piece finally and show them and so far he's doing very well, after all these decades of agonising mystery/wonder!

Like a person with extreme desires dies, their souls interact with Vegapunk’s mysterious energy (which also might explain Klaubeterman and swords having souls) and they leave behind a piece of what they wanted in a fruit. And it doesn’t happen to a DF user, they just pass a piece of themselves on inside the fruit they ate during their lifetime (like Ace seems to have done).

So Toki wouldn’t be an original one. But one day Zoro will die and his desire to be the best would be strong enough that he would leave behind a new Mythical Zoan Ashura fruit.

I'm not 100% sure, in fact it's interesting how Vegapunk explains it ( though the official translation will probably say it better ) makes it seem like is a little bit of science involved in that, but not just something for the sake of a scientific experiment, but something more deep.....

He says ( according to what we have rn ) :

" Devil Fruits are a manifestation of the desire to see how different paths of evolution can play out ...... "

It's really weird cuz in a way it seems like they are born from a scientific experiment cuz he's talking about evolution, like someone wanted to actually " play " with that he also says that

" These deviations are of course unnatural so it makes sense that they attract the ire of mother nature, the sea itself "

Here it's even more clear cuz since everyone, even objects can eat DFs they are " altering " what they naturally are so mother nature is like

" what a human leopard ? I ain't playing with that! "

I can sure be a reasonable explanation but the fact that he's talking about evolution etc makes it seem like it was somehow engineered
