Break Week We need to talk about Usopp"fans"

obviously complained about the way he is being treated. Everyone wants to see their favorite character shine, there's nothing wrong with that. they might say the author your featured character you just because he doesn't hate your spotlight just wanted to say it's ridiculous

what the fuck do you mean by that?

ok, I guess I shouldn't have used the word main character, but since WCI was the arc in which Sanji had the most prominence of all One Piece arcs, Wano was the arc in which Zoro had the most prominence in the entire series (more than Luffy himself). Elbaf will probably be the arc in which Usopp will be more prominent (I could be wrong in the future, but I believe it makes sense)

meant in terms of hype and exploring the potential of the character
It means you have shit Usopp takes, worse than the ones you complain about

In this the Zorotards are right, the fans from other character just want them to become another Zoro, who is the character is the that get power up, badass fights and those things, his characters is build around that, but other characters have others parts to play in the story.

Does Oda even remember giving Usopp Observation haki?

Honestly I'm an usopp fan, but my only issue is how he's been handled in Wano. However Usopp isn't the only strawhat/character to be mistreated.

Also Usopp showed more promise and creativity pre timeskip. Post timeskip idk what oda is doing but it's not something I enjoy from my favorite character.

I'm one of those "pre timeskip is better than post" because I believe it to be true. Usopp in Onigashima has been a disappointment & I went into this arc with no real expectations for anything because act 2 was just sloppy.

I dont see Usopp becoming a better sniper than his father or Augur. Hell, Usopp might not even fight Augur but some other means will take him out.

My main issue is lack of creativity used for Usopp post timeskip, especially his pop green arsenal. It's the same handful of moves that don't really do anything.

Pre timeskip Usopp is just overall better than what his post timeskip self has provided so far. If someone told me that they thought Usopp got weaker, I wouldn't exactly disagree.

I think people just want the luck factor to not be all that prevalent during usopps moments post timeskip because pre timeskip was never played up this much.

It's funny because in japan Usopp has never once fallen below top 15 in all the popularity polls. Only reason he was still in the top 15 now was because it was a global poll, Japan's results had him in the 20's, close to 30's.

I think there's a conversation to be had about people not liking Usopp all that much recently.

Idc that much to have it, but these are my initial thoughts regarding his character.

I don't want Usopp to become YC level(before Elbaf anyway, tee hee.) But one of the major fun things about seeing an Usopp fight is seeing him use his ingenuity to beat someone much stronger than him, and he simply hasn't really done that at all since the timeskip happened. 90% of Usopps achievements in Dressrosa can be chocked up to dumb luck, and his achievements in all of the other arcs he's been around for(most notably Wano) have been extremely minimal. I feel like Robin fans were allowed to say she was the Straw Hat with the most disappointing postskip portrayal, but now that she's gotten to fight Black Maria I think that falls back to Usopp now

I'm not asking for him to 1v1 Jack, I'm asking for him to do anything that proves that he even deserves to be here. He's clearly incapable of taking on even the lowest of Kaido's officers.

THANK YOU 👏 DZIĘKUJE

I miss the trickiness in Usopp's combats and that is one of things that pisses me off in pop greens because he relies on them way too much after time skip. Sure they are strong and all, there are a few that I like, for example the one with bamboo what turns opponents into shashlik. Does it has the soul? Na-ah,,, I think post time skip should have more tricks in his sleeves and since he trained on a living island have some more survival tactics and traps that would make his mind games with opponents even more interesting.

Love to Heracles but I think his part in Usopp's training was meaningless if it was only to make him exclusive for the pop green. Hell, if he found out about those by himself and grew on that island alone I think he could have ended up as same interesting as preTS if not even more.

So much potential, SO MUCH POTTENTIAL GOD DAMN IT

I just want Elbaf you guy,,, I want his shining time and all. I'm a gigantic Usopp fan and I believe in my support boy and that maybe one day he will show once again what he has in his sleeves, pockets and bags. Some finally good use of pop green combination or something. I need Thriller Bark moment or something, what ever, just some good tactics and not yelling and shooting everywhere. I know Wano is not his time, maybe Nami will have some time to shine before him,,, Maybe whole crew but you know what I feel, Jungle Gang ta ra ra~:josad:

Sorry for whining just had to get that from my heart. I believe in the day of the wake up call, not some hella bad ass power up or some shit. Just one more trick, sir,,,

Among the straw hats, he's the most entertaining one
No magic swords, No domino level black coc.. I mean wand, no magic healing via eating meat, no exoskeleton shit, no devil fruit, just him being creative with his big brain fighting stronger opponents
The only complaint I have about him is the fact that Oda didn't explore more about his COO awakening, like when he did with Coby, in this arc where there's tons of chances
Which is a shame, or maybe, hopefully, he's going to do it in the later arc I guess
