Would he laugh? It must not be someone from the strawhats maybe sabo or vivi. So if luffy not laugh in his new mode he doesnt be strong. And we know that the final war will be more sad as the marineford arc.

So bb only needs to make luffy cry or angry. In the fight with kaido luffy laughed in gear 5 in the fight with lucci luffy was laughing…
I think that is the weakness of gear 5 maybe a countdown too, so luffy only can use gear 5 one by a day… but that is not confirmed.

all in all if luffy laughs he become stronger so if he not laughs he will be weaker.
