No Isekai isn't much better. Some are but it comes down to the same wish-fulfillment power fantasy slop that you get fed everywhere. Of recent shows I've been watching Atri, which is a beautiful show about forming bonds with others and dealing with loss of loved ones.

I agree that Solo Leveling is mid lol, I read it and didnt watch the anime and it was enjoyable because of the art and the cool fights but thats about it.

I've read it too and it was fine in 2016. But if you go to see comments online you'll see that they treat it differently than let's say "The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil"
