Another theory of mine that came outta nowhere, but might make some sense. This theory will be much bigger than what the title suggests. Good luck in reading it all
As of now, in the Elbaf arc, the God's Knight will have a confront with the Mugiwaras/Gaban/giants for wanting a new candidate to fill the vacancy left by Figarland Garling. We all can safely asusme that Loki will definitively not join them, and this will make them put a personal target over the heads of our favorite sea bandits for being jealous, right? Right.
What if i say that something similar, or better yet, identical will happen to another yonkou crew that so far has not shown anything of surprising? I'm talking about the Cross Guild. After failing in recruiting Loki and, instead, forcing Emeth to join the GK (God's Knights) (theory written by me here: https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/for...oki-1140-spoilers-included.64929/post-5936968), they will go after another candidate to God's Knight, and the perfect candidate at first will be Donquixote Doflamingo, but just like Loki, he will not join as well, and instead will join the Cross Guild simply to see the world burning. As a consolation prize, they could recruit another former Shichibukai that is also currently at Impel Down, and that so far has shown to have no role, but can actually be somehwat important for the series: Edward Weevil. But of so many possible candidates, why this random guy?
Reason why Edward Weevil could be a God's Knight:
1st: He, and his mother would become Tenryuubitos, and Mrs. Bakking would not think twice before saying yes to this offer and having a life of wealth and protection.
2nd: He is guliblle, so he would easily persuated by any lie told by his mother, or the God's Knights, like they could affirm that Luffy and the Whitebeard Pirates started the Summit War Saga just to kill Whitebeard and reap his belongings, and that they are enemies of the World Government (remember that they would have a grudge against the mugiwaras for taking Loki from the GK)
3rd: This would technically make Sphynx Island an island affiliated with the world government, which be immenselly benefic for its citizens, and Weevil would definitively do it for them, after all, he is a kind hearted guy and cares for that island, or so i remember.
4th: Edward Weevil is as strong as Whitebeard in his youth, according to Kizaru, and the world government would certainly not let it go wasted.
Similarities and differences between Doflamingo and Weevil:
while these characters have apparently nothing to do withe each other, they actually have some few thing in common and some differences:
1st (difference): Weevil have immense respect and love for his supposedly father, while Doflamingo has immense hatred for his father.
2nd:(difference): Weevil is guliblle, innocent and kind hearted, while Doflamingo is mischievous, manipulative and evil to the purest.
3rd(common things): both have love and respect for their moms
4th:(difference) Doflamingo is man that was born in a highborn and wealthy place, but fell because of his father's action, while Edward Weevil is man that was born in a poor and humble place (not literally, actually, Whitebeard was the one to go through this, but you got me, right?)
5th(difference) Doflamingo was once a noble that now will likely join the Cross Guild to see the world burning, while Edward Weevil is a humble man that has all what it takes to join the Cross Guild, but will instead join the God's Knight with the best intention of protecting his world from who he considers as enemies.
Conclusion:
Let's pretend that my color of observation was sharp and i nailed it all, or at least most of it, the God's Knight would have enough legitimate reasons to have a vendetta against both the Mugiwaras and the Cross Guild, which would make them have to join forces once again (mirroring the events of Impel Down)
Doflamingo joining the Cross Guild would make sense for the following reasons:
1st: He knows a secret and once he spills the beans, will cause a chaos in the world. This might be the secret that will give the Cross Guild the upper hand needed to make them able to join the race for the One Piece rather than simply a random crew created to fill gaps. (Roche Thomson could also join them and be able of reading poneglyphs, and that would make them even more dangerous)
2nd: Once freed, Doflamingo's bounty will certainly boom significantly, likely surpassing the 3 billions, and he will need protection, since he was already being targeted at Impel Down, and the Cross Guild could provide him such protection.
4th: He and Crocodile will finally work together, as he already suggested back at Marineford.
5th: Once this happens, we can see Mihawk fighting Figarlang Shamrock, the closest that we will have of a Mihawk vs Shanks
6th: Crocodile will be able to fight the clone of Whitebeard at his prime, which will give him a chance of having his vendetta for being humilliated by the original Whitebeard.
The Cross Guild and the Mugiwaras could join forces again, but this time, instead of Buggy fight to leave a place, he will fight to storm (he fought to leave Impel Down, he will fight to storm Mariejois). The revolutionary would be there to thelp them storming Mariejoa as well, as Dragon affirmed that they will move once the God's Knight starts moving too.
Post Conclusion:
Let's pretend again that i nailed pretty much everything wrote here, and that in fact, the God's Knight "recruited" Emeth and Weevil as the new God's Knights, who would be leaving the God's Knight group to open another vacancy? My answer is the newly introduced character Kirigham Limoshiff. Why? If you look closely, you will see that he is, so far, the only villain that has an awakened zoan fruit with that white smoke around his neck, just like Luffy and Yamato, rather than the black one, lightning-like smoke, shown in characters like Rob Lucci, Kaku, the Gorosei, and now, Figarland Shamrock.
