General & Others What’s Your HOTTEST Take on Elbaf Arc (so far)

Xebec meeting Imu so early in his life(nearly 20 years before God Valley) seems like it was a bad plot point. Because we just had to erase the Gorosei and HK from existence, who all just kind of let Xebec go(and Imu did too, but maybe that´s more understandable since he´s like a delusional god complex type). We also have the issue of the fact that Xebec has known about Imu his entire pirate career, which Imo, opens up some issues. For example, did he tell his crew? There isn´t really an indication that any of the Rocks crew that we know in the present times are aware of Imu, and what reason would Xebec have for not telling them? And if we are to assume that Xebec knows and told his crew, we have to wonder if they told *their crew*. For example we can technically have a situation where.....

Xebec-Whitebeard-Vista
Xebec-Big Mom- Cracker
Xebec-Kaido-Ulti

Sorry, but when you have a situation where technically Ulti could know about Imu´s existence, you´re kind of diminishing the mystery about Imu´s existence, that Cobra was to be killed for even seeing him. And the fact that Xebec gets away essentially consequence free for years rubs me the wrong way. For example, part of the thing that´s part of Teach´s appeal is that he does some dumb shit, and he will genuinely pay some consequences. Teach breaks into impel down like a retard, and genuinely gets poisoned and needs an ally to save him. Meanwhile Xebec gets away from the plan to fucking blackmail Imu himself(btw, how and why did he even come up with this plan? Do we wait half a decade for that reveal as well?) with 5 random fodder kings, which is something even Saint Charlos won´t care about. Of course, people are going to use a comparison like this to say Teach is a ¨Bum¨ compared to Xebec, but it really just looks like he isn´t being completely hand held and babied by plot for ¨aura¨

Doesn't Imu despise the Davy clan and has tried to wipe them out in the past? He likely learned about Imu though someone just telling him that Imu tried to wipe their clan out before

That there is no way that everyone is going to be satisfied with God Valley. Too many people “Win” for it to be coherent.

Kuma somehow sends him and Ginny and other slaves to freedom despite big mom having him by the neck

Roger and Garp defeat a man trying to save his family and end up fighting alongside the trash of the world

Garling becomes the “Champion” despite his son getting kidnapped by a weak dragon and shakky getting freed

Blackbeard escapes and ends up on an island in the grand line

Like it’s going to be very very messy

You think Imu personally went and hunted down someone in Xebecs family in somewhat recent times? Imu hasn´t exactly been portrayed as going around chasing people, as he didn´t even try to chase down Xebec himself.

Bro fucking Wapol knows about him. Lol
The present story is not the same context as the past. Wapol knowing about Imu is not bad, because the current story will have characters figuring this out overtime, and Wapol learned because of a revolutionary army invasion of Mariejois. Characters knowing about current mysteries in past flashbacks diminishes the ¨mystery¨ of Imu, especially when the story doesn´t make it clear, who/how/why/when someone knows about Imu.

Then just chalk it up to the Davy clan passing around stories about him. It's not that hard to see that being the case
The World Government covers up a lot of things but there's no way the Davy clan could ever forget the people that wiped out most of their bloodline.

Oda NEEDS to upscale the previous Yonko against the Holy Knights in order to really do the narrative justice. It would be amazing to witness the pivotal moment in all their careers that catapulted them all to ruling the sees after witnessing Imu!
