Katakuri was quite fast during several moments of the fight, but couldn't stop Luffy from running away on his feet, and even worse, he couldn't predict that Luffy would take Brulee with him and get out of the Mirror World

Wasn't king attacking with his strongest attack?...he just got overpowered...I don't even remember the details...well its probably shit anyway

Marineford was PIS galore:

- Pre-TS Luffy knocking off Garp
- Aokiji stabbing instead of freezing Luffy
- Kizaru's kick not knocking Luffy out
- Luffy tanking Sengoku's attack
- Lastly: Mihawk, 'nuff said. The amount of people who will cry foul over his endgame feats will be unreal because of MF.

Fujitira was never shown trying to/wanting to destroy the birdcage. However, that itself can be considered PIS in some way perhaps? It was just for the sake of the climax if fujitora came up with a feat that's too crazy Doffy would lose his relevance lol

Or BigMom losing consciousness because of Queen's headbutt since it was needed for her to go to Onigashima so Yonko can make an alliance.
Etc, there are a lot.

Those seems like outlier/deus ex machina examples.

A better explanation:

For example, if a generally competent, intelligent villain does something stupid like not killing the hero immediately when he has the chance, and that allows the hero to win, that would be an example of PIS (If the villain was just incompetent in general, it would be CIS/Character-Induced Stupidity instead). There is nothing about PIS or CIS or whatever with Fujitora and Birdcage. Fujitora NEVER tried to destroy it and he let Luffy be the hero since he thought that Navy didnt have the right to claim that victory after letting Doflamingo do whatever he want. It was pretty well explained and explicitly.
