I figure... if the narrative is going to be GOOD...
Then it requires two things to happen
1. Tashigi must acquire a black sword from a criminal by chance.
2. Tashigi must face off against Zoro toward the end of the series to take his black blade after she has already taken one (or even more than one!) from criminals. Tashigi will lose this fight.
For Tashigi's dream to make sense narratively, she needs to be boasting that she is a threat to black sword users by the end of the series.
My hope is that actually comes true somehow.
