Powers & Abilities What do you guys think about Oda limiting the Straw Hats' powers?

For example

- Unlike other Zoans, Luffy isn't allowed to access his hybrid/mythical form until late in the story.

- Sanji isn't allowed to have cutting, ranged, and AoE attacks, despite him being leg specialist and we know what Rankyaku can do.

- Franky didn't use seastone weapon at all, despite him lived in Vegapunk's old lab & Wano.

These examples are committed to lower and limit the SH powerlevel. I personally dislike this choice.

- Unlike other Zoans, Luffy isn't allowed to access his hybrid/mythical form until late in the story.

Nothing explains that.

- Sanji isn't allowed to have cutting, ranged, and AoE attacks, despite him being leg specialist and we know what Rankyaku can do.

Sanji has other way to fight. He just chose to fight that way. Garp isn't using cutting abilities or things like Lucci either. He is fighting with his hands same way as Sanji fight with his legs.

- Franky didn't use seastone weapon at all, despite him lived in Vegapunk's old lab & Wano.

That was fandom desire, Franky never indicated to going that way.

I dislike him nerfing Zeus to keep Nami weak and not giving Prometheus to her.
I dislike him nerfing Usopp cool abilities in pre-timeskip with all those boring plant bullshit he had post timeskip and still barely making use of those abilities. Specially CoO that he unlocked at Dressrosa.
I dislike him not giving Chopper fights anymore. And since Dressrosa Brook also doesn't have fight. So as Usopp.

Oda Legitimately retconned the Beast Pirate's Seastone weapons because it would have been too Overpowered during the raid

I've got feeling that everything that happened after time skip was mostly editor fall. Anyway we will see.

SH has big potential, but Loda didn't use it at all.

Lets look for rxample on Nami. Only in One Piece movie Red Nami created mirages of Robin to let them escape.

In reality, we should see more couple fights and SH working together to defeat anyone. But in WCI fight between Luffy, Nami and Cracker was offscreened.

Still who say that for example Nami can't create 10 mirages of Luffy who will attack one opponent. Also her powers wasn't even showed at full potential(she cast freeze thing in DR,but was interrupted). Instead of developing own abilities she got trash power up like Zeus.

Same thing goes for Usopp, Chopper,Brook and Franky.

Only Robin in Wano at least get own development. And now we are on final stage. Is it too late to develop SH? Yes. But this development should happen anyway, case SH will defeate BB crew. And if Nami and Usopp defeated P1 and Ulti then their next opponent will be at least YC3 lvl.

It’s dumb a lot of the time, but I understand that it’s still a shounen and won’t be realistic about such stuff.
