General & Others What does Oda get from killing his main cast?

So the SHs are spectators in Whole Cake? In Wano?
In Whisky Peak?
In Alabasta the SHs are spectator or witness?
You are borderline retarded if you believe that SHs are spectators or witness.
And now you're going to move the goalposts again, but these are the words you used.
I said "More as Spectators" not "Only Spectators",
And I said other Characters having "More Focus" not "Only Focus",
But sure, stick to your childish "retarded" arguing just for the sake of arguing,

They are not spectators as they are actively agents of change. The only arc where thay arr spectators or witness is maybe Zoo.
Unless you can give me an arc where they have been more spectators than actors.

Oda really screwed up when most people now care more about the side characters and the world than the main cast. That might also be because too many readers latched onto One Piece after Naruto ended, rather than being fans from before the timeskip. This is exactly why splitting the crew up at Sabaody was such a bad idea — it completely killed any sense of focus or momentum for the Straw Hats outside of Luffy.

Sure, Whole Cake Island gave Sanji some spotlight, but the key emotional thread — destroying his final connection to his past — should’ve ended with a proper clash against Germa. Instead, it was halfheartedly resolved in Wano against some random ex-lab partner of his dad's who copied his family’s abilities rather than confronting his actual family. There’s also some implication that Brook might finally become relevant again with Gunko, but we’ll see whether Oda actually follows through or drops the ball yet again.

At the very least, Oda should’ve kept part of the crew with Luffy after Sabaody and had them infiltrate Impel Down alongside him (or even have them be imprisoned there, forcing Luffy to rescue them and Ace together). The Straw Hats with the most combat ability — Zoro, Sanji, Brook, and maybe Robin and Usopp — could’ve gone with Luffy and Jinbei to Marineford. Zoro’s injuries from Thriller Bark could’ve easily been fixed with Ivankov’s hormone nonsense, and as for Robin and Usopp being “too weak” to fight, they could’ve simply stayed on the sidelines. If a clown like Buggy and a haki-less Luffy could survive Marineford, then plot armor could’ve easily saved them too. Nami can still be shipped off to Weatheria, and Franky to Karakuri and Chopper to the giant bird kingdom for their specialized skill training.

After Marineford, they others could have been sent to Rusukaina with Luffy to train under Rayleigh in haki. That way, Zoro wouldn’t have to grovel to Mihawk and could continue mastering his swordsmanship independently (even if it meant losing some cute Perona moments). Sanji wouldn’t have wasted two years on an island of okama predators only to learn how to fly and never learn a thing about newkama kenpo — and that “attack cuisine” has been practically useless outside of two brief moments after a battle. Usopp could’ve learned real haki instead of relying on those magic plants, or they could’ve simply made Boin Archipelago’s plot plants native to Rusukaina instead. Brook could’ve trained his haki and mastered his fruit through meditation — his world idol subplot has added nothing to his character, and Gunko could have recognized him anyway without the concert nonsense, since she didn't even realize he was the same Brook from her past until after Colon started screaming for his dad.

Robin, meanwhile, could’ve trained with the women of Amazon Lily and learned haki properly, since she gained nothing of real value from the Revolutionaries. All she got was some fishman karate from Koala that’s barely been relevant.

In short, Luffy and most of his nakama could’ve remained central to the story — developing alongside him — without letting the focus shift entirely to side characters, Joy Boy, or Nika nonsense like it has since the timeskip. Because all that's done is make newer audiences have almost zero interest in most of the Straw Hats and see them all as clowns irrelavent to their own story. And any few remaining Usopp fans have gone dead silent after Elbaf proved to be a no-show for him.

Fishman Island was abt Fishman and Shirahoshi, Dressrosa was about Law, WCI is the only arc about a straw hat, and then Wano was about the scabbards, etc etc
I mean, Thriller Bark was about Brook (not a strawhat at the time), Alabasta was about Vivi, Skypiea was about... Aisa? Or Wiper? MF was about Ace.

Arcs that were about Strawhats were about Strawhats because we still learned about them. Now we already know them and to get WCI, Sanji needed completely new backstory. Doing the same thing for each Strawhat would get boring really quick.

If you remove SHs from Egghead Arc, 99% of Events wouldn't change,

CP-0 were still Coming,
Saturn & Buster Call were still Coming,
Lucci & Kaku would still be taken down by Stussy,
Seraphim would still manage to kill few Vega Satellites,
Kizaru would still Kill Vegapunk,
He would still feel Sad & take a break,
Kuma would still Save Bonney,
Bonney would still Control Pacifista, and Buster Call is Triggered,
Vegapunk Broadcast would still happen,
Devon would still steal Saturn's Appearance,
Gorosei would still be Summoned to Stop Broadcast & They'd Fight Ancient Robot,
... etc

Story was Modified to give SHs a Role, such as making Luffy/Zoro Free Lucci just so that later Oda can give Zoro a Fight,
And SHs were Busy protecting Satellites, even though They are gonna Die anyway, and will Escape later & be Re-Created,
... etc

Only SH that was needed in Egghead Arc was Luffy for his Sun God Identity, which is Important for Kuma/Bonney's Character Development, Emet deciding to Unleash Joy Boy's Haki, and Dorry/Brogy taking SHs & few other Characters to Elbaph,
And guess what? Elbaph is like already 40 Chapters & SHs are still just Spectators,

This means for Last 100 Chapters, SHs were Mainly Spectators,
And for 100 Chapters after Sabaody Arc, They were Absent, it was only Luffy Piece,
In Zou Arc, They were also just Spectators,
In Whole Cake Island Arc, Half of them were Absent, while other Half was Absent in Dressrosa Arc,
And aside from forced few Fights, most of them weren't needed at all in both Arcs,
They also were mostly Spectators in Wano Arc (Act 1 & 2), it was until Onigashima Arc that They started participating more
... etc

The idea isn't that Oda doesn't come up with a Role for SHs in every Arc, He obviously does,
But these Arc Stories are not written for them, SHs are the "Uninvited Guests", and then Oda create situations for them to look helpful or needed,

Egghead Arc didn't convince you, check Onigashima Arc too,
Did SHs Defeat Army? No, The Goal was to Defeat Kaidou & it was done by Luffy,
What were other Major Problems?

Orochi? Killed by Kyoshiro
Big Mom? Defeated by Kid & Law
CP-0? Delayed by Izou & Drake
Flying Onigashima? Stopped by Momonosuke
Suicidal Kanjuro? Stopped by Yamato
Ice Oni Virus? If not for Marco, Chopper & Minks wouldn't have time to develop a Cure,
Smile Army? It was Countered by O-Tama
Ulti & Page One? Defeated by Big Mom
Hawkins & Apoo? Fought Killer & Drake
Jack? Defeated by Inurashi
Perospero? Defeated by Nekomamushi
WG Invasion? Stopped by Zunisha
Fire? Raizo provided Water to stop it
... etc

Oda didn't need SHs at all, They simply had to be present there, so He created some Commanders to keep them occupied,
(During Arlong Arc, SHs were only Four, so Arlong had only 3 Commanders, but against Hody? He created more Commanders)
They were Useful, but to consider them Main Cast of every Arc? Nah, not even Close,
