Theory What if Joyboy wanted the sinking?

#21
The sinking of the world sounds like a pirate’s dream.

I mean an open ocean that stretches as far as the eye can see? Wouldn’t that be a pirates’ dream?

What if Joyboy wanted to relocate all of the world to mariejois and then sink the planet?

All of humanity and the different races would live together in one spot. Humanity would no longer be fragmented by the different continents. They would be together in one piece.

One Piece = one piece of land

All blue = the sunken world. There would no longer be a north, south, east, or west blue. It would just be one ocean.

Why would joyboy want this? Perhaps the world of the past was one of deep conflict and inequality. In order to solve conflict, inequality, and oppression, joyboy sought to create a world where all people could live freely and equally.

Joyboy believed he could create this by sinking the world. By sinking the world, he would bring all of the world’s people together in one piece. This would also create the ultimate ocean, the all blue.

Luffy equates piracy with freedom. In the sunken world there would be ample opportunity for individuals to become pirates and explore the all blue.

Anyways let me know what y’all think of this. I’m not entirely sure the sinking was a bad thing. While it is assumed a lot of people died, that might not have been part of joyboy’s plan. I think instead joyboy would have used the Noah to save everyone.

But Imu didn’t want to have to share mariejois with others. He didn’t want an equal and free world. So he opposed joyboy’s plan.
Yes, Joy Boy was a maniac. But there should be something more to that, case for some stupid reason Mikassa, I mean Lily betrayed Armin(Imu), and decided to care Eren's Freedom plan.
