Just a random thought I had while reading last page of 1064, if Dragon's and Vegapunk's relationships is personal rather than revolution based and it's because he is Luffy's Grandfather.
Which might have Vegapunk backstory lead into a Dragon backstory before he had Luffy and why he left him(which we need at this point)
