Speculations What is a Nika?

#1
Bonney can become like Nika by imagining a future where she is completely free.

Nika is a model of the human human fruit. It is so similar to a normal human that Luffy is yet to show a defined hybrid, Full Nika, or human form. He just is Nika.

What if being a Nika is akin to being an Arahat. In buddhism, an Arahat is someone who has reached Nirvana and achieved enlightenment. This is very similar to a Buddha.

The difference between the two is that while an Arahat achieves enlightenment through following the teachings of a Buddha, a Buddha achieves enlightenment on their own.

Luffy and Joyboy were Buddhas. Someone who reached freedom on their own. Bonney and Joyboy’s followers are Arahats, who reached complete freedom through following a buddha(Luffy/Joyboy).

Essentially a Nika is a natural state a human can achieve through reaching complete freedom. The Nika fruit allows one to reach this state independently.

Once a Nika is in existence, other humans can emulate the behavior of a Nika in order to make themselves Nikas.

Similar to how Guatama Buddha reached Nirvana on his own and Buddhists can reach it through his teachings.

Luffy is always in hybrid form.
Being rubber is just power up comes with the fruit.
Marco can heal in base form
Kaidou retains the durablity in Base form
Orochi was killed in base form multiple times

That's an interesting theory and way of looking at it. If Oda goes in this direction he may be able to partly salvage his decision in giving Bonnie the power of freedom.

But at the same time it makes things underwhelming because there's nothing special or unique about the power anymore. It even cheapens Kaido's loss. The form that defeated Kaido can be reached by multiple people? Joy Boy is more than one person now? I don't know, I don't like it.

If your theory turns out being true, then at EOS, are we getting a toon force of characters all using Nika powers to attack the Elders/Celestials? The Looney Tunes vs The World Govt?

It depends who actually becomes a Nika

But given how Nika is said to be a god, it makes sense that multiple people can use Nika’s power.

In the Abrahamic religions, there are multiple people who are prophets, healers, or otherwise have special god given powers.

In Hinduism, anyone can access certain godly weapons of you have the skill/knowledge, and multiple avatars of Vishnu can exist at the same time.

In any case, Luffy is the primary Nika. He is the Buddha.

His followers are merely accessing his power by copying him.

The followers of the Buddha cannot exist without the Buddha himself.

Nika is a god, but the Gear 5 appearence is a glorified body that people have when they are set free from the darkness of the world and from the world itself.

Edit: Also Luffy is not Nika, Luffy is a Joyboy, he has some of Nika's powers.

I mean I get it but this really just seems like Oda adding an element to the story that just makes things messy. Additional characters being able to access the power of Nika is lame in the context of One Piece. The divine follower aspect would make sense but this is not how I saw the story going. I think we’re starting to reach the point where Oda will start rushing to EOS.

Perhaps ? I think Loda once said that if a human ate the hito hito no mi they would achieve 'enlightenment', I thought this meant that Sengoku's Buddha form was an 'expression' of this, it turned Sengoku into a Buddha... and Nika was just another branch, with more requerimets to achieve the final form , but that doesn't seem to be the case.

It would make sense if nika could share his power with his followers , since is described as who bring joy .
