Powers & Abilities What makes a Black Blade Special?

#42
We can safely assume that a Black blade doesn't mean that That Blade is always covered in Haki, otherwise Monet would've died immediately.

There's no plot way how Oda can write his way around that even if he tried.

I think it's purely about quality. Mihawk takes extreme pride in his blade, and every damage is a shame/attack for his own ego, so I guess once you turned your blade black your Katana will never be broken again.

A Black blade = highest durability for a swordsman

What does it do? And why do so many Mihawk and Zoro stan trash try to talk as if it makes them stronger?

“hurr durr I dont see Whitebeard or Shanks with a black blade”

Someone enlighten me. I am in the dark regarding all things swordsmanship because every swordsman character is boring af and stale so I don’t pay attention to their history. I had to look up who Ryuma was recently, that’s how bad it is.
