Powers & Abilities What makes Sanji a Conqueror?

#42
No problem. The women point can definitely be used as part of that justification, that code he's willing to die for no matter what shows strong will. But I also think the other things I mentioned are enough to justify it. Because when looking at Zoro, you say that the justification for him is wanting to be the best swordsman, I agree, but the question is, what is the criteria?. Being the best or the strongest or having a grand dream (which Sanji does have) are not consistently shown to be the justification for conquerors. The only way for us to understand what the criteria for a power is, is to look at those who possess it. When looking at at all of them, we don't find "being the best/strongest" is consistent among them. So while I do believe Zoro possessing it is justified in part due to his dream, I don't think his dream is the strict criteria for being a conqueror, not even a necessity, since that's what we see when looking at all those who possess it. Finding the all blue, sticking to his code, being a capable leader, left hand of Luffy, future legend/top tier are all enough of a justification when looking at those who possess Conqueror's, in my opinion.
The thing is that "finding the all-blue" doesn't require you to stand above others. Sanji really hasn't shown the disposition that character like Luffy, Roger, or even Kaido have shown. Sanji's dreams do not require him to be strong, but his ideals when it comes to women do require him to be strong, since he could very easily die because of it.

I don't necessarily agree that standing above others and strength are what makes one a conqueror when we have characters like Yamato, Ace and Katakuri who don't possess those types of ambitions. Sanji is chivalrous to a fault, very protective of those close to him, he wants to be strong for their sake, when looking at the position he occupies, top tier strength is a must. Again, when you combine all of the points we've made, you can see a justification for him possessing it.

WB wanted a family.
Ace wanted to make WB the king.
Don Chinjao who gives a fuck.
Doffy is a spoiled little bitch got got enabled by boogey man.

who cares.

CoC is just powercreep.

The whole "disposition of a king" and needing to stand above others thing was bs from the get-go

Half of the conqueror's don't give a fuck about standing above anyone else or conquering anything

Katakuri at nearly 50 is content with living with his mom and protecting his siblings, Chinjao just wanted to covet his wealth and gave up the moment he lost access to his family treasure, Yamato wanted to free Wano and now wishes to see the world like Oden did, Shanks initially wanted to do nothing but be a random pirate and have fun with his bro Buggy

Conqueror's haki (at least at this point in the story) is strictly about the strength of your will. Your willpower is all that matters

I think the criteria is a little shaky cause at least imo a lot of characters fit the description (if any Skypiean deserves it then it's Wyper 100%) but that's what it is

Mostly this.
I don't really want to join/initiate the panel/balloon fight and start posting the spear speech from the Baratie, the times Sanji acted as the leader of various groups and so on. He also showed the power to turn into allies multiple people on his paths, just like Luffy.

ACoC is just AACoA, I doubt CL²⁴Oda will go out of his way and give Sanji a unique power to damage immortals unless that power was also deeply intertwined with the main plot (e.g., Sanji merging with the Mother Flame).

One thing is certain: Zoro fans should dread CoCless Sanji the most. We all know Sanji will be able to hurt HK/Gorosei sooner or later. Judge acting on his lineage factor and Sora willingly sacrificing herself made Sanji the human (?) he is. Anything coming from those deliberate actions would be much more meaningful (and more unique) than being lucky enough to be Ryuma descendant. Not that they care anymore, a normal guy training to overcome his limits is old news:specialmeh:

It is an argument lol. Oda doesn't care about whether the characters who gets coc have disposition of a king/conqueror or not. Look at katakuri. It's an loda L loupungo.
Katakuri is the son of a women who built an empire, and has been a natural born leader since he was young, who people naturally gravitate towards, and is incredibly aggressive and quick to action, willing to kill even his countries own chefs for perceived disrespect, and trying to kill anyone he sees as an opponent to his empire, even if their crimes are as little as missing a tea party. If anything, the fact that Katakuri has it and his siblings don't, is proof that there are legitimate qualifications for it.
