That attack makes no fucking sense. Law could have used that attack to explode only inside of BM. That would probably kill her. No reason to all that bullshit until Wano so Onigashima doesn't explode.
If that was the case then Onigashima would have been blown apart. The hole created on Onigashima by the Shockwave travelling down Law's Sword into Wano, pales in comparison to the crater left behind from the blast zone of the exit point of his attack.

All that energy was condensed and released into BM first. The after the math was nothing more than that condensed energy slowly discharging as it expands while reaching the tip of the sword.
